WTAPS is one of the best at putting its own spin on classic silhouettes — just see the bombers and traditional hanten coat from the Japanese label’s recent Hatsumode release. Now the old school tennis low-top is getting the Tet treatment as the brand drops some new footwear to kick off 2016. Coming in both burgundy and navy, the design boasts premium cow suede construction, pairing tonal uppers with white accents, cotton laces and tasteful heel branding. Both colorways of the Japanese-made design can be found now at Canada’s HAVEN for $270 USD
Converse and Hancock dropped a trio of colorful “Rally” editions of the Jack Purcell last summer and now the two have come together to introduce a brand new silhouette for 2016: the Jack Purcell Signature Hi. Enhanced with a vulcanized construction and a water-repellant canvas upper, the new high-top takes on the tennis classic sport Hancock’s signature “Mastic Grey” along with rubberized heel stripe while OrthoLite footbeds — complete with Nike’s own Zoom Air technology — mean these are the most comfy Jack Purcells to date.
Look for Autumn, Taupe and black colorways — the latter of which sports a striking Siphonia Elastica rubber plant print — of the kicks to hit retailers this Friday, January 15 for $200 USD per pair.
Converse pays tribute to renowned artist Andy Warhol with yet another pop art-inspired take on the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star. Following up on a custom recreation released at the start of the year, the sneaker features a crisp white premium leather upper with contrasting touches of black and the American artist’s banana peel art along the side. Rounding out the design is the brand’s star logo rendered in a complementary black and yellow colorway. Purchase the latest collaboration at the Converse webstore for $80 USD.
